AdvanceKentucky Education Program Manager

Kentucky Science and Technology Corporation (KSTC), an entrepreneurial non-profit, seeks to fill full-time position within its statewide education initiative, AdvanceKentucky. Position is located in Lexington with limited travel required. Reports to Executive Director of AdvanceKentucky and manages initiatives that help dramatically accelerate rigorous computer science, math, science and English content learning among significantly increasing numbers of K-12 students across Kentucky.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Oversight of all aspects of pre-AP teacher training institutes and pre-AP programs supporting rigorous instruction.
  • Managing data systems that support growth, development, operations and accountability.
  • Assist with coordination of new schools applying to participate in AdvanceKentucky programs.
  • Reporting to diverse public and private funding sources.
  • Support of KSTC's overall education mission.


Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required, advanced degree preferred.
  • At least three years of professional experience in K-12 education.
  • Educational program or consulting experience.
  • Demonstrated highly-honed written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong technical skills.
  • Deep knowledge of classroom pedagogy.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset to develop/refine program initiatives.
